Teachers,
parents, tutors and others interested in successfully teaching children
and adults how to read, write, spell or do math may wish to be trained
in some or all of the specific methods used by QLC and its colleagues
for the past 20+ years.
What
is Available?
Four of the major components of the QLC Educational Model require specific
training. They are:
- The
Behavior Management System—creating good work behavior—how
to get students under instructional control so that they pay attention,
follow instructions and learn quickly and easily as a result of heightened
attention to the tasks at hand.
- The
Instructional System—creating clarity—how to use Direct Instruction
methods to present concepts and operations so that they are subject
to only one interpretation. Showing students what things are, what they
are not and what determines if they are or are not examples of the concept
or operation being taught.
- The
Measurement System—showing immediate effects—how to implement
the methods developed in Precision Teaching to determine the effectiveness
of the teaching and practice regimes.

The
Practice Methods—practicing effectively—developing fluency—how
to practice to maximize the learning and become fluent as quickly
and easily as possible.
Training sessions can be arranged through this website. Fees and schedules
are negotiable and are arranged on the basis of each individual request.
